The Halberg Firm

THE HALBERG FIRM
PLLC

Real Estate and
Fractional General Counsel

The Halberg Firm PLLC is a boutique, AI-powered commercial real estate and fractional general counsel law practice founded by Brian Halberg, Esq.  Mr. Halberg began his career at AmLaw 50 firms, and the firm extends that same standard of rigor to clients — without the cost of a large firm.  The firm uses AI to accelerate document review, due diligence, and drafting, but its edge is what AI cannot do: catching what AI misses, and standing behind the outcome with the judgment of a lawyer who has closed complex real estate deals for over two decades.  Clients get the speed and sophistication of a larger firm, with the direct, senior-level accountability of a boutique practice.

The practice’s core transactional work spans acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, financings, and office, retail, and industrial leasing.  In addition, through its FlexCRE GC program, the firm combines traditional transactional counsel with the oversight and support of a general counsel — without standard hourly billing.

Mr. Halberg has advised sovereign wealth funds, institutional investors, private equity firms, developers, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals on complex real estate transactions across New York City and major national markets.  He represents sponsors, investors, borrowers, lenders, developers, landlords, and tenants.  Prior transactions include major commercial leases in 601 Lexington Avenue, 787 Seventh Avenue, and 360 Madison Avenue, New York City; the development and financing of Waterline Square, a 2M SF residential development, New York City; and the recapitalization of a $3B Class A office joint venture, Washington, D.C.  He authored the chapter on property due diligence for the AFIRE Guide to US Real Estate Investing, moderated a Bisnow New York State of the Market event, and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal.  He also provides pro bono counsel to the North Brooklyn Community Boathouse.
